At Calorify AI Coach ("we", "our", or "the App"), we respect your privacy and are committed to safeguarding the personal health and nutritional data you entrust to us.
This Privacy Policy explains how our Android mobile application collects, uses, stores, and protects your information in strict accordance with the Google Play Developer Policy (User Data & Data Safety) and global privacy standards.
2. Bring-Your-Own-Key (BYOK) AI Architecture
When utilizing AI-powered features (such as Food Photo Scanning, Restaurant Menu Analysis, Fridge-to-Recipe, and Voice Meal Analysis):
- Your image or text prompt is sent directly and securely from your device to Google Generative AI servers via encrypted HTTPS endpoints using your own configured credentials.
- We do NOT intercept, monetize, resell, or retain your meal photos on any third-party server.
- Your meal images and queries are NEVER used to train public AI models.
3. Information We Collect and Process

4. Third-Party Services & Integrations
Calorify AI integrates with industry-standard, trusted third-party SDKs that operate in compliance with Google Play Store policies:
- Google Gemini API (Google AI Studio): Used for multimodal visual recognition and nutritional estimation under Google's enterprise API terms.
- Firebase Authentication & Cloud Firestore: For secure user authentication and encrypted real-time cloud data backup.
- Firebase Crashlytics & Analytics: For real-time crash diagnosis, memory anomaly reporting, and stability analytics.
- Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): To display compliant banner, interstitial, and rewarded video ads that support our free app model.
5. Permissions Requested on Android
Calorify AI requests only the minimal Android permissions necessary to deliver core features:
CAMERA: To capture real-time food photos and scan barcodes.RECORD_AUDIO: Required only during voice meal logging.POST_NOTIFICATIONS: To deliver opt-in meal logging reminders and hydration notifications (Android 13+).INTERNET&ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: For cloud sync, ad rendering, and Gemini AI inference.
Note: Calorify AI does NOT request background location, contact access, or restricted exact alarm permissions.
6. Account & Data Deletion (Google Play Compliance)
How to Delete Your Account In-App:
- Open the Calorify AI app.
- Navigate to Profile (bottom navigation tab).
- Scroll to the Account section and tap Delete Account & Data.
- Confirm the deletion in the prompt dialog.
What happens when you delete your account:
- Your user record in Firebase Authentication is immediately deleted.
- All documents in Cloud Firestore (including your user profile and leaderboard scores) are purged.
- Your local SQLite database (all logged meals, custom recipes, pantry items, and cache) is completely wiped.
- All local settings and preferences are reset.
Alternatively, you may email us at aijazahm19@gmail.com with the subject "Calorify AI - Account Deletion Request" from your registered email address, and our team will process your deletion within 48 business hours.
7. Children's Privacy
Calorify AI Coach is intended for general audiences aged 13 and older (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately for immediate purge.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our legal obligations or application enhancements. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.
